A daisy, my Daisy!

I would say the most popular flower in the world is the rose. Filled with elegance and seen as a symbol of love, the rose is the ultimate expression of beauty within a flower. Not for me, it's a daisy!
A daisy is a common wild flower found growing in our garden lawns. If we reduce the frequency of mowing, Daises will flower more and provide a valuable food source for hoverflies, honeybees and bumblebee. As one point, “daisy” also became English slang for something excellent or appealing. This term made an appearance in 1993 Doc Holliday film Tombstone in which he uses phrases like, “You're no daisy. No daisy at all.” But the sweet simplicity and genuine beauty of the daisy have made the flower an international emblem of innocence and purity. Its fresh, crisp appearance has come to symbolize new beginnings, and its bright, spirit-lifting colors are known to spread happiness like wildfire. In addition, some believe it's a symbol of motherhood and childbirth and some believe true love because daisies are composite flowers, they are actually two flowers that have blended together in complete harmony. I believe Daisy's are all of the above.
Last year I came across a Daisy that was disheveled to the eye, but warm to the heart. She was beautiful, genuine and pure to the soul with oddities I'd never seen before. But she shined bright in the sun and when you gave her a little water, she would swim in it for hours. It was like food for her soul. Every time I see my Daisy I feel like the world stops and we are the only two who exist in the world. Even when I get angry or frustrated I look at her and remember to smile. Just the other day I was filled with chaos, stress, and frustration but I never let the sun stop shining as she swirled in my head. Even when I accidently put shade upon my Daisy, she stilled steeds fast and strong only to show me how beautiful the world is and how much it shines brighter than any shadow.
There is so much I can say about Daisy, but all I ever need to say and know is that I love who my Daisy is and am grateful for
her in my life. She is amazing, beautiful, elegant, chic, pure, wise, something excellent, sexy, sweet, and something magical. She is Daisy! A Daisy to the core and I am proud to have her in my life. She is mine and I am hers....partners for life and taking one step at a time together. Thank you for being you...Daisy!
